Poetry of Awakening:The Stirring of Joy

Image
Hi! Thank you for stopping by and taking a moment to reflect, to be inspired. Today's poem comes from being inspired myself after reading a good book. Isn't it great when that happens? I love to read books that inspire me. Do you? Here is my poem. I hope you enjoy. The Stirring Awaken to the stirring of joy within you- let the truth of your beauty be your guide, your clue; your happiness lies not in what you do but in finding your passion and to it being true. You are more than what you see, you can create your world the way you want it to be. Infinite is the love within you, immeasurable the power behind you. Rest with these bits of wisdom, let them carry you into the light of your full expression, and awaken to the stirring of joy within you.

Hope and Dreams: Embracing the Vision

Image
Hi! Thank you for stopping by. Today I have a short inspirational poem inspired by my love of the beach and new beginnings. As we get ready for summer, let us not forget that now is the prefect time for a fresh start, for embracing the new that comes, for forging ahead with our dreams!        Looking Forward: In Retrospect To look forward- facing the rising sun- fills me with hope; it is the dawning of a new day, new possibilities and joys calling me. Inhaling the sweet aroma of hope I feel my soul expand. There is nothing but love and lessons from the past, memories have inspired me- at least the ones I keep; the rest have taught me well. So now, a moment to breathe in hope, to feel restored. Forward is your vision when fueled by love, by hope, by faith. Thanks again for your support of my writing dream.... may all your dreams come true!

Spark of Love; Tending to the Muse

Image
Hi! Thanks for being here with me. How is your Spring going? I have been thinking about growth, life changes, the power we have within ourselves to be our own source of inspiration and strength. We are more amazing than we give ourselves credit for! I have a feeling you are a muse to someone, to many perhaps, so this one is for you. Blessings! Spark of Love The spark of love is alive, in you, ready to bloom and bursting with color. Grow! Bloom! Establish roots and surpass the past. Shine the in a million ways! Life is color, life is a song; all it takes is a muse to light the fuse, for you to have what you need when you are ready to show yourself the way. Go forth and find your muse! Let vibrant petals fall where they may as you stand in the sun and walk toward your destiny, you beautiful, incredible, spark of love! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing in my poetry. It means so very much to me!

Spring Reflection; poetry and beauty within

Image
Hello! Thanks for stopping by! I have been very inspired by spring colors this week. With so much bad weather happening all over the place, I sought out photos and flowers to give me that much needed burst of color. That got me thinking about the act of providing ourselves with color. With joy. Our lives are colorful, beautiful expressions of love; we say we "brighten someone's day" or that someone has a "vibrant personality". What word speaks to you? sparkle? shine? vibrant?colorful? bold? Let that be your word, your inspiring platform, your self-descriptive tune. I say, it is time to be all of the above! Here is a little poem on the topic of Spring and renewal. Enjoy! What lies within What lies within lies dormant only for a time then bursts through the earth shooting upwards heavenward releasing potential even dreams ; beauty and power lie within dormant waiting for the sun of our allowance to shine upon the...

Toward the sky; A poem of vision and dreams

Image
Hi! Thanks for spending a moment and sharing my writing with me. I have been doing a little writing, a little submitting, wanting to do more reading. It had been a very long month for me, and I am glad to see things looking up! I wrote the following poem when I was thinking about the dream I have for my life, how it has changed in recent years, and how far I have to go. I  have to tell myself, look at how far you have come! Let's remember to keep our dream within our vision. Our heart has eyes to see with too,  you know. Toward the sky I turn my life toward seeing sunrise after sunrise dawn upon my dream. I lift my heart, offering up my dream I raise my hands, then lower them quickly. I am empty, waiting to be filled. I send my hope and prayers toward the sky and wait. Setting my heart upon the rising of the sun I wait. Releasing my control, my desire, letting the wind lift it and carry it away, I receive.

Happy National Poetry Month !

Hello! It is National Poetry Month! I am so very glad to have writing, poetry in particular, as part of my life now. I am so glad you are a part of my poetry life, too. Sharing in something so personal is soaffirming and invigorating! I wanted to start with a quote on poetry today. What do you think? I think this is true. What truth could Plato be referring to? I leave that for you to ponder, but I think it has something to do with eternal truth, wisdom, and peace. For it to be vital, to me, it would have to include elements of those things. Things that impact your life, your spirit. You. What do you think? I also think poetry, in the form of nature, of beauty and love, is all around us all the time. We just have to be open to seeing it. Our eyes and heart have to open and receptive to seeing it! Well, in celebration of poetry this month I am going to be writing some new poetry and sharing it here soon. I enjoy quotes, though, and wanted to share a few...

Choosing Love over Fear: Poem of an Inspired Heart

Image
Hello! Thank you for visiting with me. I am so glad to share my poetry with you. As it is National Poetry Month, I think I will stop by the library today and pick up some poetry books. I am so excited! I just know I will find inspiration in the pages of a book today... Do you get inspired and uplifted by what you read? I make an effort (failing sometimes) to get books that do just that for me- inspire me and encourage me. I have favorite authors, favorite books that I read over and over. I also like to find new authors. New books are like a gift, waiting to be opened on Christmas morning! What I am reading right now isn't a poetry book (gasp! Don't worry, I will share what I find at the library!). It is Wayne Dyer's 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace. Such a great book! In it he mentions love vs. fear, and that was my inspiration for the poem below. I think that part of living a fulfilled life involves the letting go of fear and learning to embrac...
